Mar 28, 2019 - I had very little idea what to expect from Rock Springs run, and you know what? Sometimes having no expectations is the best way, since it leaves plenty of room to be pleasantly surprised. And surprised we were. Rock Springs is hard to beat when it comes to natural unspoiled beauty.

Jun 21, 2018 - A friend called and said she was in need of a short, relaxing trip on cool water. She suggested the Santa Fe. She enjoyed playing with her new SUP and I was hunting up what little wildlife there is to see along the Santa Fe in hopes of getting some good photos with my new camera.

May 9, 2016 - Rum Island Springs is located on the Santa Fe River, north of High Springs (Florida). This is a free county park with a concrete boat-ramp and some picnic tables. A couple of porta-potties were noted, but were in need of cleaning.

Jun 7, 2015 - Highest on our list of kayaking trips was Ecofina Creek. Now...there is also an Ecofina River, which was actually closer to where we were based at the state park. But we wanted to kayak the Creek because of the large number of freshwater springs along the route.
Apr 26, 2015 - Arrived at the Alexander Springs Recreation Area in the Ocala National Forest just after 9 on Sunday. Went for a snorkel before the afternoon crowd arrived.
